A short escape from painting: visible mending. I have this periodical urge to do some repeated stabbing, and son had torn pants. It's a new discovery -- to be imperfect and spontaneous -- and make it fun and playful. Why can't we be more like this? Son may not wear these anymore, but I don't care.

Another hole on pant leg mended with blue threads. So imperfect. I love it.
A small piece of denim stitched onto a khaki pant leg. The stitching is done crudely, or playfully, in light blue and pink cotton threads. Nothing is neat about this.
