Throwback to French Paper Company. Where are my peeps who were fans?

For those who don’t know, French Paper designed a series of sample books like these. The designs and typography was inventive and awe-inspiring. Their work highly influenced me as a designer early in my career.

These are the three I still have.

Three small sample books with black and white retro illustrations and typography over a solid color background. One is red, one is gold, and one is a slate greenish-gray. The illustrations are of metal mechanical parts. The designs are wild and messy. Harmony within disarray.

Thanks to @irafcummings, I remembered that I also have the CSA Archive stock book on my shelf. I should have shared this with the French Paper books.

Holding a hard copy of the CSA Archive book. The cover is an illustration of a spin-to-win wheel with various retro line-art illustrations on it. There’s lots of typography all over the cover with splashes of neutral colors. The title reads “original and historic illustrations. CSA Archive line art catalog of stock art.”
