We cling
Shouting silently in bright colors
To heavy skies.
Still
I can
Dream, plan, design
To be a vertebrate.
And persist,

maybe a child
at play,
or perhaps
a sudden gust
of storm wind;
the little oak nut
with a sturdy body
and brown hat
remains patient,

time for travel
will come
