We got tricks for you:
1️⃣ Instead of swiping the app you use the ❎ Close option. The button appears if you enable "Delete browsing data on quit" in Settings. eg. keep only "Cached images and Files" toggled ON
2️⃣ *No joke* when the page loads and drags on, you just lock the screen. 🤷 On device unlock the page will load. 🎇
Update #1: A user tracked this to having #PrivacyBadger or #uBlockOrigin or #Ghostery extensions installed.
Testing with disabled #uBO made Fennec load pages instantly, but let's be honest, we can't use the Internet without uBlock... 🙄

Over the years, I’ve heard a lot of developers & other people wish that uBlock Origin was available for Safari. Now it is! Download for Safari 18.6 and Safari 26 beta.
