I'll never understand how some online services think nagging users for having an ad blocker is a good idea. If your business model relies on guilt-tripping people instead of offering real value, your app or service wasn't great to begin with. Everyone should have the right to block the garbage out of their internet - I fully support using ad blockers, because constant tracking, autoplay videos, and noise ruin both the experience and privacy.

I'd happily pay for a clean, ad-free version of any service I find genuinely useful long-term. But shaming me for using a free service while protecting my attention and privacy? That just makes me close the tab. "It's a free service" or "the dev works so hard" aren't winning arguments - they're just moral posturing.

#freemium is a terrible name for whats just normal podcasting.

freemium makes it sound like I'm going to be forced to pay at some point just like freemium games.

really cheapens podcasting :(
