A reed stem rises vertically through the frame on the left quarter terminating in a large roundish spray of brown flower buds. About ⅓ up the reed, a leong leaf bends in a gentle curve to the right and down. At the apex of the curve, sits a small green frog facing left. The frog has a white stripe under its eye from the mouth to the first forelimb.

We've had a few storms recently, but despite some of the reeds being bent over, there's still a good collection of #EasternDwarfTreeFrog s.

I counted 7 on one reed this morning, and 12 in total.

I stopped to count the frogs this morning, and there was an extremely tiny one (about 1cm long).

These two shots are taken at the same distance (approx 2.9m away) and cropped the same amount. The one on the left is the tiny tiny frog, and the right hand one is a regular sized Dwarf Tree Frog (approximately 3cm long).

There were 15 Eastern Dwarf Tree Frogs this morning (that I managed to count anyway).

It was slightly warmer this morning on campus (12ºC) so some of the frogs were out (they tend not to come out when it's colder than that).

Here's one of the two I found (the other was in a bad spot, photographically).

My morning was improved one-hundred-fold by the discovery of this tiny Eastern Dwarf Treefrog on a citrus fruit.

It was no bigger than a beetle, and almost the same colour as the unripe fruit.
