Public re-post, I accidentally made this private rather than unlisted:
I'm looking for a new mail provider because my small Swiss provider doesn't support # ipv6 and my home network has now been IPv6-only for a year. My requirements
- full IPv6 support for web and mail (which rules out maibox.org which still only uses IPv4 for certain parts of their web sites and runbox which is IPv4 only)
- Switzerland or Europe based
- IMAP and SMTP support (which rules out Proton)
- Support for + sub-addresses (which rules out Hostpint in Switzerland)
- Privacy friendly, no AI training in my mails, no ads. Preferably no AI features at all (not sure whether this rules out Infomaniak who advertise some AI on the website)
- Preferably has a mail only offer for multiple users without any cloud office features
- Support for hosting my own mail domains (i.e. not Posteo)
And I don't plan to self-host because I don't have the time, even though @ Michael W Lucas :flan_on_fire:'s # RYOMS is still on my stack of yet to be read books.
Any ideas?

Erm, fellow mailserver hackers: did I miss something?
I was just told that I should use SHA256 hashes, rather than SHA512 for MTA DANE (meaning: eg 3 1 1 rather than 3 1 2).
Is this correct? I fail miserably at finding the corresponding RFCs.

"Slightly" mad
Yeah, bit more than slightly in my case. But nevertheless, this is a real gem
The book is even better. And you should definitely patronize mwl cause we need moah books - SELFHOST ALL THE THINGS!

If you aren't operating your own mailserver by now, what is your excuse? Don't have the hardware? Get a VM with @OpenBSDAms. Too much effort? Nah, @mwlhas you covered.
Never surrender the protocols.
Run your own mail server.
Revolt.
Rebel.

Okay, I've got the time this week. I'm pulling the trigger on getting rid of Google from my life.
I'm thinking mailbox.org, anyone have any thoughts on it?
I want to #ryoms, but don't have the funds for a server to handle it right now.
