@maco hopefully the sound recorded fine. Hopefully. Juan Florez is a noisy road even today Sunday morning.

The linguists consensus is that we Andalusians "economise" the language, which means we shorten every word as much as possible so we can say more in less time. Nothing, no other dialect of Spanish can say that much on the same time window as us. Is like we talk like 56k modems.

When someone is speaking in one of their second languages, you can hear an accent. If it's a thick enough accent, you might struggle to understand them.

When they're writing in that second language, there's still an "accent", in a sense, and you might still struggle to understand them. But you won't necessarily know it's an accent.

I wonder how much online conflict is caused by this kind of confusion.
