What Elon Musk knows about engineering the most high-tech machines, suitable for use by human crews in the most challenging environments -- or ordinary drivers trying to use their car's door handle when the power goes out -- would fit on the head of a pin, with room left over for his massive ego.

Maybe they don’t need a lander, just throw it out the window from orbit.

Now the Artemis III mission is not going to the moon. Instead, "NASA added a new demonstration mission in low Earth orbit in mid-2027 to test one or both commercial landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin respectively." That's assuming either commercial company is ready in that timeframe, which might be an optimistic assumption given their records to date.
