After Artemis II... What's next?
Artemis II was a huge success, so are we heading for a moon landing sometime soon? Not so fast.
The problem is the Orion spacecraft was never intended for landing on the moon, just getting the astronauts there.
For landing on the moon, NASA gave SpaceX a huge complex contract to use Starship spaceships (a lot of them!), but Starship keeps suffering delays and exploding. Now it seems like they are switching to a lander from Blue Origin.

What Elon Musk knows about engineering the most high-tech machines, suitable for use by human crews in the most challenging environments -- or ordinary drivers trying to use their car's door handle when the power goes out -- would fit on the head of a pin, with room left over for his massive ego.
