@thomasfuchs I've heard good things about KOReader, but the one that I use personally is FBReader.
@thomasfuchs PocketBook Reader works nicely on my wife's BOOX. Even connects to the calibre-web server I have setup in-network

I like KOReader but it is definately open source in the sense that it can do some cool things but it is up to you if the fiddling around and learning a janky UI is worth the trouble.
May I ask how you installed the app on your supernote ?
