Of to a great start... Cardissian... the name of the episode being Preemptive Strike... Ro returning...
This should go well. (I already know she defect to the Maquis And given the number of episode left for the whole show... I guess this is what we are doing here.)

"Lately it seems Starfleet is looking the other way when the maquis attacks."
Well it very well should. The territory the maquis is operating in is not under the federation's juridiction.
Is that an excelcior class ? He seems much smaller than I though it was.
Oh and great. Admiral "just follow the orders". You make me regret Jeriko.
(I jest. From what I remember Jeriko is kind of a jerk but he is right most of the time. )

Yeah... Because the Cardassians don't fucking care either way.
MDR... They want Ro to infiltrate the maquis...
I joked she was already compromised but given how she acted awkward at the beginning of the episode I wouldn't be surprised if that was the actual reveal.
"You know, there was this instructor I really liked that ended up joining the maquis. Also I have spent a lot of time in my life fighting the cardassian. I'm really rather sympathetic toward the maquis."

Picard can't say she didn't warn him.
The maquis drips aren't quite bad... could use more colors though.
Ro might have said only one single lie... That she did kill that Cardassian. (probably because the Cardassian didn't exist in the first place)
And maybe she lied a bit about her relation with Starfleet.
It seems she wasn't already recruted by the maquis before the episode though... Except if the people who know in the maquis she already is in are few.
"Oh no, a danger that will end one way or another before I finish my sentence! Oh well, things are ok."
Ok Picard, next time you go under cover in the maquis and you do the betrayal; We'll see how this goes.
Ok maybe the sexual tension is not actually necessary?

I want to say I like this episode. Part of me isn't sure what the point is here, thought. Maybe it' paranoia.
What I get from it is the Maquis is defending themselves and Starfleet is doing the Cardassian's shitty work in name of a peace treaty that doesn't concern the maquis as far as it's concerned.
But I imagine you could read it as the maquis radicalise a troubled starfleet officer. The episode certainly ends on a tragic note.
Still, the episode does humanise the maquis a lot and never really condemn Ro for her actions. I just wish it did condemn Starfleet a bit more, I guess.
