I so rarely stuff anything - maybe every 5 to 10 years? - keeping odds and ends around for this would be ridiculous.
Cut offs from sewing, weaving in ends, etc are trash.
Sock yarn left overs end in a box for a left over blanket, if it's at least 5 g - anything else gets tossed.
Odds and ends from shawls, scarfs, mitts, hats I throw out if there is not enough for another, even small project.
Leftovers from garments I keep even in tiny quantities for repairs.
@anke
Short bits get put in a bin for stuffing. Slightly less short bits may also be used for tiny color highlights or fringe, or as stitch markers or holders.
@Anke I use scraps when stuffing softies.
@Anke sometimes i cut it to bits and card it along for some spots of color in my spinning or card it for needlefelting.
@anke Zero. I can always use it to stuff amigurumi.
@Anke 15 cm or less, I think...
@Anke Hmm, about needle-length?
