@wdlindsy In other countries, dictatorships have collapsed when the armed forces stopped obeying orders. I'm not saying that's necessarily what will happen here, but it's a possibility.
The problem is that it creates a power vacuum and all the uncertainty that entails.
Greg Olear reports that he became aware of the horrifying events happening in Chicago on Oct. 2 from an email sent to him the next morning. But:
