@neil We had to think a few times when we realised the car we bought a couple of years back had no spare but instead done of that gunk and a pump where the spare usually is. We wondered if this was done aspect of needed life we'd better get used to.
(Answering my own question, my phone autocorrected gunk to Gucci. Is that meaningful?)

@neil I had a similar “can of compressed gunk” for my bicycle. I got it as a freebie and I carried it around for years in the bottom of my pannier.
I did one day get a puncture and felt too lazy to do a roadside patch so I used the can. It worked perfectly fine, and intact in fact I kept using that tire and inner tube for a good while longer before I eventually replaced them. It did make a bit of a mess, but that’s less of a big deal on a bicycle.
