European Commission

We’re not just watching the innovation game. We want to lead it.

Since 2018, the EU has advanced by 12.6% in innovation performance. In 2025, 13 countries made gains, with Malta up 7.6% and Luxembourg up 5%, leading the way.

As global competition heats up, now’s the time to accelerate.

That’s why we’re turning Europe into a launchpad for:
🎯 Research careers
📈 Startups and scaleups
🥇 Innovation, decarbonisation, and economic security

Check our findings 👉 https://europa.eu/!BFfPKk

A square social media graphic on a deep blue background features a white lightbulb icon at the bottom. Above the lightbulb, white text in various sizes reads. "Thank you. For making Europe bolder. For being the spark. For choosing the edge over the easy. The future over the familiar. Please, keep shaking things up. Go beyond the ordinary. Help Europe shine. We're just getting started. Your energy matters. Let's build the next chapter. Together, unstoppable, inspired. Keep building, daring, dreaming, what comes next brave, united, determined." In the bottom right corner, the European Commission's logo with stars forming a circle is visible, next to two stylised, overlapping hand icons.

@EUCommission
The European Commission and the Council of the European Union have been indicted for failing to take action against Israel. A confidential report found that Israel's actions in the Palestinian enclave violated human rights rules agreed with the EU. Despite this, the 27 foreign ministers decided not to impose sanctions against Israel. According to a group of French and Belgian lawyers called Jurdi, Brussels is failing “to prevent genocide” in Gaza. The case was brought before the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg.

@EUCommission the only visible innovation in my living area. Parking vehicles are now possible through the easypark app. Ah yes, also #Austria finally implemented pet recycling widely.

@EUCommission The budget won't fly, "try again later", and in the meantime enforce the existing rules and present realistic, and "doable" policies and budget.

@EUCommission Aha..... Because you want to lead is then obviously why you jumped to get on the bandwagon with the AI hype in that the EU should build a strong position there.
