There are times, most of the time, when I grieve for my city that was.

The yuppies were nothing, compared to the tech-bros. The tech-bros who have moved into my neighborhood are overwhelmingly antisocial and destructive. Some are lovely, but most are not.

This isn't just about remodeling, it's also about antisocial people walking antisocial dogs. Like they're afraid of the people they live next to.

It's not like New York, where people just give each other space,

These most recent tech-bros in #NoeValley seem to be actually afraid of regular people just walking around in their own neighborhood.

It's really weird.

I have a Lab, one of the most innocuous dog breeds. And they act like he's going to attack their rare-breed-skittish-thing.

It's weird.

Why don't they just move to North Beach or Pacific Heights, or down the Peninsula?

Oh right, they're not really rich-rich. They're just kinda-short-term-might-be-rich.

And they look down on the people already in the neighborhood.

It's weird

@kristinHenry

They are just assholes. They chose to work in an industry full of assholes because they are assholes too.

@kristinHenry

Feel like a longer reply is in order. It all starts with the purpose these people devote their lives to. In this case it is being creative about how to rip people off. What tech bro products have in common is that they collect information about people and sell that information so that the people can be influenced and scammed. If your mind focuses all day everyday on screwing people over, you end up becoming an anti-social asshole. That's why they are such unpleasant neighbors.
