Not me feeling a little smug about people at the City now wishing we still had a Technology Advisory Committee, after I strenuously warned City Council it was a bad idea to get rid of it.
Now they're caught flat footed with Flock and broader surveillance technology.
We could've handled this proactively! And largely internally! But no, now we have to mount a whole ass public campaign to clean up this mess.
I almost forgot that H5N1 is still out there evolving. Doesn't help that our CDC has been eviscerated and is led by people who want more people to die.
Never too late to resume wearing a mask regularly, or to start the habit for the first time! 😷

I see people putting on those “I bought this [Tesla] before Elon went crazy” stickers ALL OVER the #sfba, and I think that sticker is shit because:
⁃ Ableism. “Crazy” is a derogatory term for mental illness and/or non-neurotypical minds.
⁃ Elon didn’t “go crazy”. He has always been a huckster and a racist. You found out later than others, maybe.
⁃ Now that you know Elon is a world-destroying jackass, and that Tesla is where he gets the majority of his net worth, why are you still driving that car? And don’t give me the “I can’t afford anything else” excuse. I know where you live and I see your vacation photos.
I think people think putting that sticker on their #Teslas gives them an out for still owning and driving those Fash machines. Kinda like people putting on “Student Driver” stickers and hoping people excuse them for driving like assholes. We see right through you.
