I'm getting back on the 馃悗 after the holidays in the *first week of January*. that is a *huge* improvement.

I'm definitely experiencing some lagging cognitive impact from holiday stress - tunnel vision when working on tasks, and multiple obvious incidents of not parsing things people are saying in a sensical way, both of which are big "tells" - but dude. I didn't get to where I am now until sometime in March last year, and it was April or May at best in the years before that / after 2019.

the winter holidays are often the most difficult time of year to maintain equilibrium as an #actuallyADHD #actuallyAutistic type of person due to

* lots of one-off schedule changes
* disruption to life basics like food & sleep
* holiday socializing
* accumulated emotional impact of years of all this
* for many of us, broken families

so if your favorite AuDHD type of person gets squirrelly / slow / exhausted / demented during or after the holidays ... this is probably why.
