What is the easiest way to discern a Coral Snake from a King Snake? We have both in flor-e duh and one is venomous. Ta!

That's basically true. We have a rhyme that goes, 'Red touch yellow, kill a fellow and red touch black, venom lack'. Has to do with the rings.

@TheBreadmonkey what would happen if a snake bit a werewolf? Would the werewolf die, and/or would it create a weresnake?

@Shobeck @TheBreadmonkey As every serious biologist would tell you, the werewolf has to bite the snake, not the other way round. That would probably work for a vampire and would create a snakepire or a snamp or a vampake.

@sanpan @TheBreadmonkey are you questioning Ben's snake expertise.
So a snake would kill a werewolf, but biting a vampire would lead to a Snampire!

@Shobeck @sanpan @TheBreadmonkey

Hopefully, there's some mythical creatures biting one another scenario wherein you end up with a regular size-and-shape snake only one that has a wolf's face and fur.

It's not that I'd want to own one as a pet, just I was thinking there what the least worst "were"-animal to encounter would be and a non-venomous weresnake should hopefully be pretty easy to just boot into the bushes.

@Shobeck

Look at this absolutely gorgeous bastard

Atheris hispida (aka hairy bush viper) is a viper species endemic to Central Africa. Like all other vipers, it is venomous. It is known for its extremely keeled dorsal scales ("spikes") that give it a bristly appearance. Green and like it's covered in tiny leaves and with the most beautiful eyes.

@TheBreadmonkey indeed, that is a very pretty snake. Still wouldn't take it to dinner at Pizza express or offer it my last Rolo. On top of being too bitey, poisony, and killy.... This now adds spiky.

@TheBreadmonkey just popped over to the Federated timeline and saw this post skim by, 14 minutes late. It was as if light just reached my eyeball after traveling across several galaxies. While I’m here, no doubt you’ll be well aware of this:

'A habu snake is able to mate for as long as 26 hours, which causes some to believe that a drink of habushu may help sexual dysfunction in men. A common superstition is that these strengths are passed on to those who drink habushu.’
