Two concentric squares set in an ivory coloured plaster wall. The outer square has the colour and texture of raw concrete, and the inner square someone has painted a subtle pastel burgundy colour, pricking out three vertical cracks in a darker colour so that they look like vines, and at the bottom they have painted a very detailed very delicate rust-red and black spotted butterfly. It looks entirely incongruous with its surroundings, and makes me smile with its artistry and sense of hopefulness.
