@GeePawHill I took the jump and installed Linux on my machine five days ago. Not sure what to think just yet, but the experience has not been all bad thankfully.
Would you mind sharing what it is that you hate about it?

My aging but still great Lenovo laptop is running linux now because it couldn't be upgraded to Windows 11. So far it's been OK but i keep waiting for breakage...

@GeePawHill I'm glad I live on the opposite side of the world and my parents have given up on computers in favour of tablets or I'd be in a similar boat.

Oh please God, cue unrequested recommendations of distros and Mint, cuz I have not been working with *nix for 45 motherfucking years.
