My latest project was turning my old Windows 10 machine upstairs into a #SelfHosting workstation. I slapped a big hard drive in it, and reformatted with #Kubuntu #Linux.

I've converted many of my DVD collection into a @jellyfin server. (Only stuff I OWN + public domain content, and only viewable inside the house.) I also just put on #NextCoud and it was pretty easy. Now I essentially have cloud storage from anyplace.

It's amazing! And... it just works. Why didn't I do this before???

I delayed the update by a couple of months, but my main #Linux machine is now running #Kubuntu 25.10 (Questing Quokka) with Plasma 6.4.

but #Kubuntu is working where I have drivers' problems with Mint.

Where do I ask questions about a problem with #Kubuntu 25.04?

Sometime ~May '25 an update removed the OS's ability to see an NVMe inside my Thunderbolt 4 dock. Worked perfectly up until and now I can't figure out where to start.

I've been searching for 3 months, without success.

This screen recording of Kubuntu 25.04 in VirtualBox shows the instant effect of:

reboot --force

It's explicitly unsafe. The recording is not a recommendation to run the command.
