Kinda like a really realistic version of Pokemon Snap.

Quite an impressive game. The visuals are definitely convincing, and you can tell that a lot of care has been taken in planning everything out.

In an era of LLM slop, this human-made game reminds me of Myst, another picturesque game.

i also think his work on differential geometry (and of course not just him, but the whole field) is relevant and important to apply to filesystem design. so i am hoping to find ways to learn about sheaves and rings and groups and other objects that i can manipulate to achieve the semantics i want

the fedi norm should be post anything if you're not tagging anybody and your server owner is cool with it AND every server federates with every other server. basically how the web works with content.

the problem is decentralized social media also lets us bother others. focus mods on it. police personal attacks and repeated unwanted comments/replies by your server's users or risk defederation. it's the only thing that should warrant that but "good intentions" should not protect you.

@catsalad A colleague of mine is super AI pilled and will ask me to review 1000 line PRs he slopped together. I've given up and just slap a +1 on it because it's not production facing and I don't have to maintain that pile of shit anyways. (For now at least). The corp is too "AI IS THE FUTURE" for me to be able to just tell him "no, rewrite it in manageable chunks by hand".
