#NoKings rally in wee Belfast #Maine was the largest gathering I’ve seen in ~30 years here — and difficult to capture in pics because the crowd filled the central square and spread onto adjoining streets. Positive vibe, clever signs, lots of fams w/kids, minimal good-natured police presence chiefly dealing w traffic. No speeches, little evidence of planning — I think it all kind of fell together and people showed up. Heartening!

Spent about an hour and a half clearing brush. It's starting to grow fast now so I have maybe another week to make progress before it's mostly treading water, I'm guessing.
Last year when working on this area we found a bunch of bricks, two children's toys, and an old rusty lockbox. I've tried all the combinations up to 6100 on the lockbox so far() but it hasn't opened yet. No treasures this year unfortunately.

Does anyone out there know anything about heat pumps? We were thinking of having them installed, but a local contractor in Maine told us it would cost us $38,000 to put in a system.
