@evan Political parties have yet to fully adjust to the new world of communication we live in.
Flaws and issues that in the past could go unnoticed or somehow be brushed off, today can instead and very quickly become major liabilities.
Proper vetting and adequate alternatives are a necessity in today's politics, much more so than in the past.

I'm going to say this again (in light of another university advising staff they are at risk of redundancy);

if the exposure of a growing number of the workforce of any other sector was reaching the level of universities, the media & politicians would be all over it, demanding action and the 'saving' of jobs.

With the university sector; not so much.... the Q. is how have we become a country that seems to care so little for a major socially & economically vital sector?

@sundogplanets Correct me if I'm wrong, but the satellite in question isn't made by SpaceX - it's made by City Labs. SpaceX is just delivering it to orbit. I feel like the headlines are trying to "rage bait" (is that the right phrase?) people into engagement (which still might not be a bad thing). Am I missing something?

The other two siblings have to keep their heads down because there is only one helipad and its also where everybody eats their food delivery and sleeps.

At least they've soon learnt how to poop over the side. Should really move the compost heap under there for all this free phosphorus.

Meanwhile the parents are either out collecting food or perching on a nearby chimney or hay bale.

We've gotten used to the *whomp* when they take off from or land on our chimney hood at night.
