Last night, the weather reported that temperatures in England could in the coming days get close to the May record set in 1952.
It’s weird to be in a context where temperatures can over the course of several days more than double (numerically) on where they have been – 14°C => 31°C – but also not reach a record set 74 years ago, 36 years before we officially warned ourselves of global heating.
It highlights how confounding what we are doing is

a) #RSS
b) #Peertube
Das waere gemeinwohl-orientiert und ihr schafft damit einen digitalen Raum als Alternative zu kommerziellen Plattformen.
So und nun duerft ihr mir fuer dieses Hauruck-Consulting ein Monatsgehalt vom Erik ueberweisen, das ich dann an die UN-Fluechtlinghilfe spende!
@pallenberg @ZDF ehrlich gesagt, die Streamingfunktion von Peertube sehe ich in den #Mediatheken schon verwirklicht. Aber es braucht einen Aufhänger für Diskussionen, die nicht an Konzernmedien gebunden sind.

Ich habe gehört, dass derartiges tatsächlich angedacht ist, das finde ich super, und hoffe darauf, dass es umgesetzt wird.

So how can we, as older people who have presumably seen some shit, support younger people who are anxious about their personal future and the future of the world at large for entirely understandable reasons?
I mean, I definitely hit some rather low points in my life. But I now have a stable career, gotten out a debt hole, and even own an apartment where I have only 10 years left to pay off the mortgage.
In contrast, young people who need to enter the workforce to pay their bills are constantly told that AI will make their beginners' skills worthless, and there is a high chance that we will soon enter a new Great Depression once the #AIBubble bursts.
Oh, and fascists are taking over more and more countries while the global environment is collapsing more and more.
In other words, young people need all the help they can get. So how can we support them?

@pallenberg Ich denke, das ist ein Light-Vented Bulbul (k.A. Ob der einen deutschen Namen auch hat; Chinesischer Bülbül?) die haben wir während der letzten Taiwan-Reise öfters mal gesehen.
Merlin eBird ist ziemlich gut für Vogel-ID; läuft offline mit downloadbaren regionalen Datenbanken, kennt auch einige Vogelgesänge und ist ein Projekt der Cornell University.
