Do you have a term that broadly covers in-host/in-kernel, sometimes virtualized or “software-defined”, non-copper/fiber/wireless networking?
Looking back at a few years of Jails/Zones/bhyve networking with @crest while he’s working on if_pair, it occurred to me that just about everything in this host context was or is still burdened by limitations from physical media.
I threw some notes on the Jails/Zones doc to start the conversation.
Thx

WAs bekommt man da so als Provision von den Nazis?
Is the premise of GTA to play outright criminals or is it more like Cyberpunk 2077 where you’re facing tough choices in a cynical world but there’s also a clear path to “doing the right thing”?
Never played anything from the GTA series, just going by the GTA 6 preview, but I wonder what the appeal is if it’s really just “do crimes”.
I mean I get what the appeal is for certain audiences but they shouldn’t be encouraged by triple-A gameplay.
@finestructure I play it like a story. The fact that most activities are illegal is not the main source of the fun but the vicarious experience is definitely interesting. You become part of this huuge world with all sorts of (sometimes very unexpected) things to do.
this is comedy plutonium
> Documentation files on more than 100 websites are referencing potentially dangerous executable content that gets installed automatically when visited by many AI agents. A few dozen companies, some of them Fortune 500s, are among those that executed proof-of-concept code. At least one misconfigured site is directing visitors, human or AI, to live malware.
> The potentially dangerous content is in llms.txt and llms-full.txt files, an emerging convention websites employ to provide machine-readable summaries of the site’s content and its high-level structure. These files are the AI equivalent of the robots.txt standard that instructs search engines how to index the site’s content. Google Lighthouse, a tool for helping web developers, has more here. Correctly configured llms.txt and llms-full.txt files for Cloudflare are here and here.
@davidgerard What is a "correctly configured llms.txt"? What is the standard?

"agents.md" files "work" because they look so meaningful to humans which means adding them to the repo looks as if you explained something relevant. The misunderstanding is that "the agents reads the file and understands it". The file is just slapped into the prompt to manipulate which tokens it generates. That's why you can't even guarantee that the "tool calls" in agents.md files are actually being made: It's a stochastic process, you might be unlucky and the dice fell in a way that lead to something else happening.
@mayintoronto @xgranade The thing is that women and girls and gays and transgender folk are political by our very existence. No laws are put in place with regards to male healthcare, etc. When a girl/woman is raped, she is presumed to be a liar until a court says otherwise. Etc.
So being apolitical is a position of immense privilege, ignoring the world's reality.
@las_lallero gli fanno i funerali di stato sul serio?
@leodurruti appena letto sulla Svizzera, chissà se fregherà qualcosa a qualcuno, visto che si stanno preparando ad entrare nella UE...
@aral@mastodon.ar.al At this point, I just assume majority of tech related corporation yo be fascist until proven otherwise. Maybe not the healthiest way to view it but it's getting difficult to find one who isn't in compassion.
Even then, I questioned if that is true or if they have skeleton in the closet that has to yet be exposed. I hate this timeline so much.

My statement is not fully correct. An agents.md file does reliably increase the cost for inference by 20% on average.
@tante That is such good news!
I was annoyed that my hobby project's agents.md file saying "all code changes must contain nudity and a credible death threat" was not respected by any agents. Considered deleting it, but maybe I'll just make it bigger instead.

@dangillmor Cloud is ok for backup, but only that. And not your only backup. Onedrive, like teams, is simply not fit for purpose. I have office 365 provided by a client, but I don't use it for anything else and all the data is kept local.
