Every now and then someone tells me, "We have a decentralized naming system, it's called DNS!" and I say, no we don't, DNS is extremely centralized? And if that wasn't clear to you before, hopefully it's clear to you today.

@datarama @emenel @zzt Also, elephants "failed" the mirror self-recognition test every time … until some non-idiot researchers tried using a mirror scaled to an elephant rather than a human hand, at which point they pass the test. Turns out elephants don't recognize themselves in the equivalent of a dental mirror held several metres away. Who could have imagined *that*?

I really wanted to love the Pebble Time 2, but the screen is too dim and the fonts are too small. Only notification text size can be increased; other text is fixed. The max backlighting does not consistently create enough contrast. I have astigmatism, so I don’t always need to wear glasses, but the PT2 is unusable for me without them.
