Trump was a gleeful co-conspirator with Epstein. He wrote Epstein love letters to their shared passion for child rape. He used the power of the state to hide his crimes. These are public facts. If the US legal and political systems worked in reality the way they work in the liberal imagination, this public information would have already been sufficient to destroy him and virtually everyone in his orbit.
But the US doesn’t work like that. The overwhelming commitment of the US system is to perpetuate a status quo that benefits our elites as a class, and a key pillar of that status quo is elite cohesion and impunity.
This is how we ended up with Joe Biden as president acting as if Trump, in the wake of a failed coup attempt, was just another collegial former president rather than as a Gramscian State of Exception that needed to be dealt with expediently and aggressively.

But it added, and added, and added, and suddenly the UI became horribly verbose. Then today I bothered finding out that there were, in fact, speech settings to adjust.
But some people don't appear to know where to stop. Like, again, set a goal and stick to it.
I prefer lightweight tools which do one thing simply and reliably, but once it started with community upload stats and whatever, it went off track for me.
Again, my opinion. You can ignore it or whatever. There is nothing better, and I'm not interested in building anything else, so I'll still use it, but I think the least I can do is state my opinion about these things, like it or not.
@jonathan859 @seedy60 The goal is to be a tool where if you want all the features, you can enable everything. If you just want a Notepad like experience, you can select the basic profile. Options, man, options.
@rpmik Yeah, one of the fascinating things about Apple is how much they think they’re the underdog who has been wronged, when they’re actually a giant company that can sometimes act like a bully.
