Finally gave in to lifestyle inflation and bought a fizzy water maker. So far I have only carbonated tap water.
What things have you successfully bubbled that I should try?
Last week, DARIAH's Multilingual Digital Humanities and Research Data Management Working Groups held a two-day workshop on language diversity in research data at Edinburgh Futures Institute.
30 participants explored multilingualism, infrastructures, standards, and AI for under-resourced languages, and began an OER for DARIAH Campus.

Ihr Lieben! Ich berate als Anwalt seit Jahren europäische NGOs, insb. aus Osteuropa zur Compliance und, wie ihre Arbeit so strukturiert werden kann, dass sie autoritärem Gegenwind stand hält.
Ich habe dabei viele Angriffe der Staatsgewalten gesehen. Der rote Faden ist immer: das Steuerrecht (und wo es das gibt: das Gemeinnützigkeitsrecht) wird zur Waffe. Das deutsche Steuerrecht ist längst diese Waffe. Gemacht gegen Steuerhinterziehung bald eingesetzt gegen NGOs.

Leider werden es auch im Kt. ZH immer weniger offizielle Trinkwasserbrunnen. Aus Kostengründen. In meiner Gemeinde verbleibt ein einziger von ehemals vier Brunnen. Drei haben jetzt 'kein Trinkwasser' weil meine Gemeinde sparen will....
@stk es ist immer Luft (Wasser?) nach oben. Aber gegenüber Züri sind deutsche Städte schon vergleichbar mit der Zentral-Sahara.

I have been using Tusky as my Mastodon and Fediverse client. It doesn't, though, seem to have a filter for language, which I really need now as I get a lot of material that I simply can't read through ignorance.
Any recommendations? I'm on Android.

@gubi Nessuna menzogna, basta leggere. La frase è "di fatto, la Banca è costretta": di fatto, non di diritto. E nello stesso paragrafo si legge che in assenza di indicazioni delle istituzioni una banca che mantenga il rapporto potrebbe subire sanzioni secondarie. Potrebbe, non deve. È linguaggio di rischio dall'inizio alla fine.

@CordonBleu Non mi sorprendono le prevedibili supercazzole, ma ribadisco una valutazione dell’etica coerente tra banche con utile netto di 12 MIO EUR nel solo anno 2025 (IMHO sufficienti a pagare la multa ipotetica stimata sull’onda della fretta e della paura, senza nemmeno chiedere conferma all’apposito helpdesk UE) e negozi a conduzione familiare, costringendo a chiamare “etici” negozi che annunciano “di fatto, la nostra bottega equosolidale è costretta a pagare il pizzo”.

@wlaatje en daarmee vermijd je heel mooi mijn punt, namelijk dat iedereen hoort dat het om een immigrant gaat (en ja, met getinte huidskleur) en dat jij dat negeert en het houdt bij 'van de straat'.

@Edent personally I would only use water and then use it to dilute juice or something, essentially because my carbonator is hard to clean and I don’t want to grow stuff in it. Although I am curious to know what the result would be with soup.
