I listen to Audiobooks. When I start a new book, I buy it in paperback just so that people know I'm well read. I'm aware this makes me a massive, pretentious twat.

The US government has designated the Italian collective Autistici/Inventati, which produces the infrastructure of NoBlogs.org, a "Specially Designated Global Terrorist," freezing their assets and prohibiting all transactions with them——citing their "far-left" politics and the fact that they have provided services to "anti-fascist" groups for justification.

Autistici/Inventati is an activist-oriented tech project that offers encrypted communications tools, email, web hosting, secure chat, and video conferencing platforms for users who prefer to stay off corporate grids.

This is what the US government is shutting down as "terrorism."

Their systems include stuff people normally build into their walls, etc, so they had some very annoyed customers.

I don’t generally yell at people using AI, but if you have any power over the hiring process at your company and you are asking candidates to talk to an AI screener, you are a creep, and thoroughly unqualified to make any decisions about hiring.

Here's another neat Bonfire feature: organisation profiles.

You can create a shared profile for your co-op, collective, project, or any other organisation or team, and invite trusted people to manage it with you.

Each team member signs in with their usual Bonfire account, with no insecure sharing of passwords, and together they can post as the organisation, access its feeds and private messages, manage its settings, and add or remove other members.

It’s similar to managing a Facebook Page, but built for the #fediverse: one shared public identity, securely managed by multiple people.
