@FediFollows @wariat @SpaceLifeForm Mainstream smartphones other than iPhones are Linux phones and can run be used to run non-Android Linux distributions too.

PinePhones are extremely low end hardware sold at extremely high prices for the components which are used. The hardware/firmware has atrocious security. Non-Android Linux distributions do not require different hardware from Android. Special hardware isn't needed to run non-Android Linux and Android can run on that hardware too anyway.
