@rnd "Jobs" are a capitalist proxy for "meaningful/enjoyable work" plus "enough resources to survive on". Everyone* deserves the latter two; it's only "jobs" that are increasingly scarce.
* except assholigarchs
@woozle this same kind of thought is why i tend to be a bit careful about the idea of "canceling" fascists¹ with the goal of getting them fired
if they have a cushy job that lets them do very little and pump huge sums of money into politics or have a big platform to express their views, then sure
but if the fascist in question holds a basic job that mostly serves to feed themself and their family, then no
i want my opponents to have less undue influence, not to starve
¹ here i specifically mean not just any right-wing voter, but specifically people who support sufficient illiberal views (ethnic/racial/religious/cultural supremacy, distaste for democracy or civil rights, preference for might-makes-right, belief that specific elements of the population are inherently unproductive, etc.) and offer significant monetary or rhetorical support to such politicians as private citizens while otherwise following rules of liberal democracy (and people who break those rules and outright harass or dox or make life harder for minorities in public do deserve to get percussive maintenance on their face)
