I will never work with fondant icing again. It is a bastard.
Fun fact! The only time I've ever gotten really properly actually angry and threw a whole cake across a room was because of fondant icing. I was about hour 5 into the process and just snapped, then had to start all over again and finally finished the cake about 4 in the morning. I swore then on my LIFE I would never use fondant icing ever again and if I ever see some, know I am mentally telling it to go fuck itself.

@pfefferle I haven't been working on Flowz for the last 6 or 7 months, but I plan to dust it off and continue work on it given the recent interest in the ActivityPub client API. I subscribed to the github issue and will track that. Is the WP implementation ready for testing?

Have blocked someone who responded to my toots about the cycle helmets. Come on fedi, there's no need to resort to insulting people in this discussion.
@DaveMWilburn @xs4me2 no. It's because helmets give a false sense of safety, and are largely worn by racing cyclists and mountain bikers who engage in a more risky form of cycling than a utility cyclist cycling for transport.
I've cycled over 40000km in the Netherlands. I've visited every municipality by bike. I have a pretty good understanding of Dutch cycle infrastructure.
Yeah, the reason I asked is because in the US there has been criticism from the right about motorcycle helmet laws, with some arguing that helmet use leads to higher rates of severe, life-altering injuries that otherwise wouldn't have been survivable (and further that these are the kinds of injuries you wouldn't want to survive).
That argument was perhaps plausible. But I don't think it's actually born out in the data. Studies seem to suggest that motorcycle helmets are an unqualified good thing.
And, at the risk of stating the obvious, motorcycles are different from bicycles, especially everyday cycling in places with good bike infrastructure, and the rates, kinds, and severities of the injuries you might encounter are likewise very different.

I’ve added patches for the MT7531 switch, so the built-in switch on the Banana Pi R2 Pro is now working properly under FreeBSD/ChaosBSD
This means the board is no longer just a dev toy — it can actually be deployed as:
– a home router
– a lab router
– an embedded networking platform
Switching, ports, and forwarding are operational, so NAT and standard router setups using pf are usable in practice.
Another step toward proper MediaTek SoC support in the ChaosBSD kernel. If you have an R2 Pro, you can start testing it as an actual router, not just a boot experiment. IMPORTANT: The current implementation contains several temporary hacks and workarounds that are known to be sub-optimal.
