Shout out to @opensourcegardens for the seed exchange at #39C3
Snagged some Roma tomatoes, my favourite type of tomato (home grown pizza sauce 😍 )
Hopefully I can share on these seeds next year
Essentially, their argument was that this would be a huge pain and expense to fix, and so we are all better off just keeping it on the down low. And that kind of worked, for about a hundred years, until more open communities - like computer security research - started looking seriously at locks (as both metaphors and as interesting mechanisms in their own right).
I see their point, even if I personally reject it. But in the age of the Internet, you just can't keep this kind of stuff secret.

@mattblaze it did work beyond the little issue that the bad guys with a certain "professional" level also did know about these.
There is always that stupid assumption that the good guys have a monopoly on knowledge and competent people.
I don't see any reasonable assumptions why that should be so it's not like capitalism is a meritocracy (or it would be called meritocratism) , the thing that you need to thrive is capital.

@collectifission I was wondering when that would become an issue. How did you notice? Is there any plan to challenge AI content?
@madeindex I had some fishy signups that triggered my decision. Ever since, I had zero issues. So, this works splendidly.
I really wish people would stop equating "not selling user data" with privacy. Loads of tech giants don't sell, or even share your data with third parties directly. They would be stupid to, it's their most valuable asset. They hoard it! Doesn't mean they don't collect & use every bit of it themselves.
@Techaltar
An organization called the United States of America will become the world's most invasive personal data gathering/using/abusing organization. And, anyone in the Trump Admin that may need our data will get it. ICE and LEO are already abusing our data in illegal ways. But crimes committed by LEO don't count anymore.
Remember, Elon Musk already has a huge chuck of our data from his stint as THE HEAD DOGE official.

It's okay to go to bed early.
I agree 100 percent with Donald Trump, because what kind of idiot would suggest the Ukraine war could be settled in just 24 hours? You TELL THEM Donald!!
Since 2014, so #Trump will clear it in one day...
Some fun rubbish Dr Who creatures for you
@TheBreadmonkey I can’t find a photo of it but the one that ended Who for me at age 12 or 13 had a striped beach ball for a head and a shower curtain for a body. Charitably maybe they had an actual costume lined up and it caught fire minutes before filming had to start, so they improvised quickly.
