Support for the monarchy is concentrated among older people (55+), while in the 18 - 34 bracket, polls consistently show a robust majority would prefer a republic.

So the royalists are, in the most literal sense, dying.

This is interesting. I've been using the full spread method since forever and it serves me well, glad to know that it's also tied for the best method. That being said my spread is usually thinner than in the article photos. I use the edge of an old credit card to make it as thin and uniform as possible.

@decryption @archer Conceptually it's a great idea. In practice, the challenge is that digital sovereignty discussions in most Australian institutions, I've found, come down to the minimum needed to meet regulatory requirements, which is usually satisfied by "is this hosted in Australia or not?" (E.g., Universities, Power suppliers, etc.)

To get traction the primary selling point would likely need to be "save costs on your licensing!"

I did mention that I was sent it by a family member but it sat at the top of Explore most of today with lots of interaction and I just felt it wasn't right to keep it up because I'd posted it as a throwaway joke that looked like mine, but it wasn't.

This paper shows alignment between LLMs and brain data is outperformed by a null model. More evidence for the argument I've been making in talks lately that we shouldn't believe any computational paper that puts less effort into null than main model.

Although note that I only had time to flick through it so far and so I can't vouch for it.
