main thing I've done today is making it so that multi-line posts render as multi-line inside the description tags, so that they're shown as multi-line in clients and stuff

At COSine this weekend, @pluralistic mentioned the song "Somebody Will" by Ada Palmer.

I've been feeling like I've not been doing enough to deal with all of the things going on around us, but the song makes a good point -- that even if you are doing _something_ that might help someone else, who helps someone _else_, who accomplishes the big thing, that is enough.

Docker noob here. Anyone seeing Docker on Mac getting IPs completely mixed up, where destination IPs are getting assigned as the source IP? Isn't that like… a security issue? Or am I being a noob? (New Mac mini, new Docker install, no iCloud Private Relay, no VPN)

A M4.1 earthquake rattled Toronto last night. Many residents of the city, who just experienced record snowfall, thought (hopefully?) that the shaking might be the rumbling of a snow plow. No such luck. This was the largest earthquake to hit the region in 20 years. Why do earthquakes occur here, so far from a tectonic plate boundary?
