You might think you’re prepping for the apocalypse but have you seen Victoria’s LORA mesh networks?
Iran: "We captured a drone sub!"
US: "Yeah well, uh, we didn't even want that drone sub anyway..."
I swear to christ I'm already dead and this is hell...
Without Googling, which of the following are NOT a human body part?
Laurel & Hardy: Unaccustomed As We Are (1929) (the first Laurel & Hardy talkie)
What's weird is how policy experts & economists fail to see the consequnces of having WIP stolen by AI corporations in its early stages.
1. Fewer papers & books published
2. Less collaboration in academia
3. Work slowed as folks work in isolation
4. The system of public funding ends
5. People withhold ideas & innovation
6. USSR style stagnation
7. Corporations become so wealthy they own all
Work in Progress dies out
@Npars01 @aud no doubt about that, and that's exactly what @tao said, even if they didn't improperly access and use user data - https://mathstodon.xyz/@tao/117237322160500501

I would like to thank you all for respecting my choice to leave the Google Store. Seeing messages from people joining #FDroid to get the app and sharing their experience with a lot of good feedback made me very happy. What I read most often: F-Droid is easy to use, and the export/import feature works well with #Fedilab.
For push notifications, I recommend using #SunUp

@uczen pra ontem, nesse bolsonarista golpista (com o perdão do pleonasmo).
I hate when I drop something and wake up a cat
Childhood prepared me for the floor being lava to a much greater extent than has turned out to be necessary.
@abstractcode there’s a shortcut to the city from my office in the computing building at ANU that crosses a creek by hopping across stones. When it rains and the water rises, they put orange bollards up to discourage people from taking the shortcut. I take it as a floor is lava challenge, and have even been complimented for doing it in high heels.
Sorry, but the reference to killed Ukrainian civilians is too cynical for my taste.
@Gahmiaf I understand. And I agree, it is horrible what is going on.
Do you know what this little bastard just did? He taught me the word "friend" in Japanese just to make me translate the sentence "You are not my friend" and then did a little dance about it.
Big Idea:
Let's take control of the U.S House and Senate, and then anytime Trump says something stupid (which is 100% of the time), we can just send him a note which says "ur dum" and pay zero heed to any of it.
The best way to handle Trump is not take anything he says seriously. Journalists should have figured that out years ago. No use in feigning gravitas about *any* of it.
@jaredwhite Heck, Republicans are always saying we should still govern like its the 19th century. Plenty of presidents were ignored by their Congress back in the day. Just look at John Tyler!
DC Fontana deserves way more credit for the show's success than Roddenberry.
Gene Roddenberry was a selfish, misogynistic asshole and the "Star Trek" people love largely happened in spite of his involvement.
@michaelgemar @midsomerplots No I didn’t but now lmao
@farah @midsomerplots It’s pretty delightful…and accurate.
“The value of the bypass capacitors used locally with M-LVDS chips can be determined by Equation 1 and Equation 2, according to High Speed Digital Design – A Handbook of Black Magic by Howard Johnson and Martin Graham (1993).”
Oh you're citing your sources and calculating actual values, rather than just saying “1uF + 0.1uF”
Anyway, M-LVDS looks like a very neat Layer-1 interconnect for its specific niche of high-speed + multi-drop + limited-reach
