@alcinnz I keep saying something similar to those saying that we need an anticapitalist license, which make so no sense at all, licenses are inherently capitalist. What we need is something else.
Some even claim against free software because of that, and I keep saying the same: the solution isn't making more proprietary software, the solution is elsewhere.
When the problem is capitalism, "anti-capitalist capitalism" or "more capitalism" aren't solutions.

@alcinnz I have no issue with those using anticapitalist licenses when they *know* they don't make sense and use them more to show their intent (which IMO is better served by a manifesto or a code of conduct, but well).
And even FLOSS licenses are only good if you can enforce them, as you said. We let capitalists get away with pillaging the commons we built while we still can't freely access what they owned without being labelled a pirate, but libs still won't become anticapitalists.

Sur desktop, il existe LibreWolf qui enlève l'IA de Firefox. Sur le reste, c'est une version hardened de Firefox.

@lumi @stilic what do you think "control" is?? this take would have been charmingly naive a whole calendar year ago but i don't know if you noticed linus torvalds is just a smarter and more patient form of bill gates, and the entire linux kernel and most of the "open source" """movement""" that we thought existed because corporations could be incentivized to self-regulate their own behavior if we simply engaged the fawn response hard enough was always getting ready for the eventual heel turn without us. we are now directly working against the literal NSA in every single line of code we write in protest.

nobody has ever tried to design an OS around an algebraic (i.e. simple and extensible) semantics for how i/o modifies process-local and shared state, and it's why every single fucking build system is incredibly slow and does not help you one bit with avoiding someone introducing backdoors. both git and every other approach to checksumming a directory tree do the absolute most, in an intentional mathematical sense, to ensure the user of the system has absolutely no meaningful understanding of how the system's in-memory state is generated from its persistent state on disk, and vice versa.
haven't you noticed that literally every single self-appointed filesystem fuckboy is actively one of the worst people on the fucking planet??? that's because they crave fucking power and they know the filesystem is an incredibly simple way to legitimize constructions that are just immensely obviously intended to harm people!
