@matlfb for sure, the easiest path to start contributing is to signup to campground.bonfire.cafe (a local only testing instance) and create threads with UI/UX suggestions or bugs (you can create discussion directly there or on GitHub as you prefer)

@ricmac we are experimenting with automatically trigger a CI pipeline to regenerate an external static sites (bonfirenetworks website is currently powered by 11ty) when an article is published (configurable in settings) as part of our work on implementing long form content

Am I the only one out of the loop on what @Bonfire is? Am I correct on that it's a collection of software (some of it in Elixir?) to do different federated things? Bonfire Social seems to be a Mastodon alternative? https://bonfirenetworks.org talks in very lofty terms about a network but a network of what? There seems to be a website builder (Mosaic) that also has some ActivityPub support?

You got that mostly right! We are indeed working trying to improve our website and how we describe the project...

Bonfire is entirely made up of extensions/plugins written in Elixir with Phoenix/LiveView/Surface.

Mosaic is more of a service offering to build digital spaces by using/extending/creating Bonfire extensions (all open source).

There are several SSO recipes available for coopcloud. or Bonfire also support OAuth and OpenID Connect (as client or server), though testing with more apps is still needed...

@devSJR do you mean https://campground.bonfire.cafe ? that's a testing instance, available for getting a feeling of the software and testing features, suggest/discuss improvements. - we will not run a flagship instance, but hopefully soon community-run federated instances will spin up :)
