I finally heard the song that this cartoon was referencing just now in the pizza shop across the street. (It's entirely likely I have heard the song before and it slid right off me each time but I guess my brain's been running a background process waiting to encounter this lyric for the past three weeks.)

The public increasingly hates Flock, the odious surveillance operation, but public officials don't care. They pretend to dislike the grotesque abuses of privacy, but they keep renewing (and starting)contracts with the sleazy company. If it's in your town, raise hell.
