@iooioio thanks, Rocco lombardi is a talented artist and his style perfectly fits our vision of a diverse / more than human / inclusive fediverse that we'd like to contribute and be part of :)
Public Interest Social Networks
Bonfire is built by communities, for communities. Rooted in autonomy, mutual care, and collective power. Co-create your tools, reclaim your data, and resist manipulation by shaping your own federated digital spaces.

Thanks to Rocco Lombardi (https://www.behance.net/roccolombardi), who created the amazing illustrations in the homepage.
And thanks to @dajbelshaw for his constant help and precious feedback on the information architecture.
Thanks to @humanetech@mastodon.social who keeps us in the loop and all the humans, animals and bots who are happy to engage with us and are patiently waiting for our first release. ✊🔥
📣 We're happy to share w/ the fediverse our new website:

We tried hard to communicate the vision and the motivations that nurture bonfire ecosystem. We also included new technical guides to setup and configure a new instance, to play with it or contribute to the development.
Any feedback is welcome :)

It sounds great! We have a federated Kanban in progress since some time now, even though we are now focusing on releasing the beta version of our social networks.
But it's definitely something we feel the need to have/contribute to!
Happy to continue the discussion :)
We published a new blog post:
Notes on the first Neapolitan meeting

#bonfire #commons #naples #fedi
@yala @mike_hales thank you, will do!
@dansup @gracefullydegrading @grishka @activitypub
That sounds similar to what we initially built for MoodleNet, and will be happy to reimplent in an interoperable way in Bonfire.
New blog post: "Let a thousand bonfires bloom
Dopamine and attention manipulation are not inherent properties of a social network. They can be replaced by healthier behaviours and other ways of connecting humans and exploring collective intelligence..."
https://bonfirenetworks.org/posts/let_thousand_bonfires_bloom/
"Working towards a future where communities can assemble their own social networks like lego blocks, to cultivate safe and private spaces while being interconnected with the rest of the "fediverse" and the internet at wide on their own terms."
-- we've just updated our new bonfire homepage 😊

We've just published a new blog post "Why are we building yet another (federated) todo list app?"

I personally think it's a great idea, and while it isn't yet on our roadmap, we have discussed implementing wiki-style functionality before. Would have to look into what protocol fedwiki uses though (probably not ActivityPub)...

Our first blog post is out there 😃
We shared some thoughts about what guided us during the creation of our logo...

@mbajur yes, we're building graphql APIs for it, though not all extensions have them yet
Happy to unveil the Bonfire iconography, along with an updated website: bonfirenetworks.org
@EmbraceTheGray@social.privacytools.io That's one aspect we're working towards, yes.
