Ossoff is the real deal.
As I've been pointing out for years, there is a world of difference between the way that Ossoff talks about and addresses systemic racism, vs most of the democratic party.
There is a valid reason that he is so popular with Black voters.
Tell me that you can't see it.
@mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io agreed. Watching his debate performance as he ties the anchor of white supremacy to his opponent and shows the through line of how that white supremacy keeps all of us from having nice things.
I wish we had someone with his moral clarity here in AZ
Wow. He's excellent. "Their attacks only strengthen our resolve"
Some of you are "inspired" by seeing Black people fight against the racism done by your own relatives, without addressing that racism head on.
I'm inspired by seeing white people calling out other white people, for the racism that they try to do to Black people, and not letting racist family slide.
@mekkaokereke I don't laugh at racist jokes and if the person insist, I ask them to explain the joke to me. Usually it works and the person stop making rscist comments when I'm around.
@mekkaokereke I don't care who it is; I have dropped family members for their racist behavior and never looked back. Especially when they try to "apologize" by saying what they did "wasn't a big deal."
My half sisters youngest daughter made a racial slur at school. I heard about it when my niece's friend told her parents, as her parents are friends of my husband and I.
I let my sister know, thinking she'd pull her daughter aside for a chat. I said "Black Lives Matter". My sister freaked out, raged at our friends, then told our family that I accused my niece of being racist. I was then ghosted and cut off. That was about seven years ago.
Black Lives Matter.
@mekkaokereke It's infuriating. Granting exceptions to one's standards makes them preferences, not standards. And it would seem that to a lot of people, not being racist is a preference, not a standard.
And as I've said, he doesn't switch it up after the election. He keeps the same energy throughout his term.
One of the benefits of authenticity, is that how he campaigns is how he works once in office. He doesn't need two modes.

@mekkaokereke Better late than never. Just donated to his campaign. Relentless against the tRump regime is an added bonus.
