The angsty teenager upstairs is loudly listening to angsty teenage music which is 100% fair and justified. However, they're listening to '90s angsty teenage music which leaves me somewhat puzzled. Maybe contemporary angsty teenage music sucks? Or they don't make it anymore?

@gabrielesvelto Everything old is new again. 90s/00s angst music is definitely back in though, my teenage nieces are listening to stuff from my childhood. I'm just glad they're not listening to lame contemporary pop music.
@gabrielesvelto Way too serious answer to a light hearted toot: there's something about art from before you were born when you feel misunderstood. When you feel the present is awful, you look outside of your own timeframe. I was listening to psychedelic music and 60s garage rock in the late 90s for more or less the same reason.
Also, a simpler time with less invasive technology. Back then you could angst your soul out with just a CD player and a couch/bed (no screen needed).
