I love everyone still calling this a "reverse engineered project" or a "reimplementation" or whatever else when it isn't. It's a clone based on examining what the interface and specs of Photoshop look like, vaguely. I've got professional qualifications in both Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and let me just say that trying to claim that you can just clone those by looking at the specs sheets and the Uls and then making the robot spit something out is so utterly deranged and detached from reality that I genuinely fail to come up with the words to explain the levels of derangement needed. These software suites are massive and complex and have tons of features and edge cases and edge cases for edge cases. Like I mean, for God's sake Excel literally has the non-existent date January 0th 1900 purely to remain compatible with Lotus 1-2-3 which incorrectly considered 1900 a leap year, that's the level I'm speaking of. As someone who did the work and got certifications in both, would I like it if both were suddenly killed and no longer relevant? Fucking obviously. They're terrible. But that ain't happening.
