@farah I had to go back and reread them after reading a bunch of other stuff. They were easier to like the second time, for me, anyway.
@farah I felt the same. In theory, I should have loved it. I wanted to love it. But I couldn't get into it. Given how much other people love it, I'm assuming it was a me problem - that I wanted to read something else at that point - so I'll revisit it at a later date. Maybe.

@farah one thing I've come to accept recently is there are good writers who are good people who nevertheless write books that aren't for me. It's hard because if the author is good and seems to be a good person I really want to like the books. But sometimes it's not to be
