Day 3 of #ossym brought us a keynote by Aline Blankertz from Structural Integrity on: “Sovereignty for whom? The politics of breaking with dependencies in search”

Aline stated that openness leads to more dependencies, especially in the face of AI.

"Search is getting harder, depends on open web, but becomes less diverse because of AI!"

She found:
-Search gets worse as AI proliferates
-Openness does litte to halt this
-Politics of sovereignties is deepening dependencies on AI
