What is the alternative to Bayesianism? Loosely speaking, it’s… the scientific method.
That sounds wrong, because Bayes and the scientific method are not inconsistent with one another. In theory and occasionally in practice, they work together, and you can use both. But in practice, most of the time, Bayesian analysis is a massive, inefficient distraction from the real scientific task of acquiring domain knowledge and understanding a problem’s structure.
Because of this inefficiency, Bayesian methods are often restricted to models of the world that are so oversimplified as to be completely useless.
It’s like hiking with a 100 pound backpack of supplies. It looks impressive, and if you need those supplies to get where you’re going, well, you need them. But if your goal is to go somewhere efficiently, and you don’t need those tools, you’ll go much farther, faster, without them.
