So yeah don’t recommend being a gout-haver
@thomasfuchs It took me embarrassingly long to figure out that, hey, maybe I should cut back on the caffeine if I enjoy using my feet. Even at 400mg/day allopurinol, I have to count my caffeine intake because it only takes a few days of mismanagement to trigger an flare-up.
Strangely, cannabis products (including CBD) seem to be a trigger for me, but I suspect it's just a mild allergy to something in cannabis extracts. (Once my immune system is angry for any reason, it attacks my toes out of habit.)
@thomasfuchs
Yeah. Mine is lobster activated...one of my favorite foods, that I'll never get to eat again 😟
Fwiw they have more drugs now for it if standard therapy (allupurinol) doesn’t work, there’s a chance yet!
@thomasfuchs there are some perks
@thomasfuchs your posts are how I've learned what's been causing my recent flare up lol.
I've been drinking these Starbucks caffeinated fruit juice mixes and I didn't know it was an issue.
